Dale , I see you are having BER issues just like the rest of us. I have been really looking for a solution. I have been studying Mulder's chart that show interaction of nutrients. I have looked at my outdoor soil tests. Calculating the K-Ca ratio of three different companies of hydro nutrients, they all have higher K-Ca than my outdoor soil. For example general hydroponic flora series at flower level with recommended Cal-Mag added comes out to a just about a 2-1 ratio (19 k to 10 ca).I know that much of my outdoor Ca is locked up but my last outdoor soil test had one section at a 1-10 ratio. On a few of my remaining hydro plants I am trying to raise the calcium in the K-Ca ratio to 1-1. I may go higher. Not much left in soil in my indoor garden but I looked at 4 of the Saturated Media Method tests I have had done in the past two years. Average of the tests was about 1-2 K-Ca ratio. I am wondering if we just do an extreme boost to our Ca levels if alot of these problems will go away. BER indoors will get solved.
