Looks like a early winter this year.This is how it was in the 70s when I was a kid. I just pulled the drip tape & header lines out of patch 2 days ago..No cover crop or amendments.If it stays cold will not do one this year.Im not big on fall amendments BUTT my soil is in really good shape after 20 years of adding sand, perilite and amendments.The 2043 was grown on the same spot the 1947 was. 5 years growing on the same spot now. Disease test on soil was very good for 2017.No worries, But I plow with a 12 inch most seasons.I think that is very important to plow just before the ground freezes.
