It was a sad day at Stillwater. Qtip reached into his crisper to pull out a 4.88 pound tomato to beat my 4.38 pounder for 1st place ribbon. Three minnesota weigh offs and three different growers going home with a first place ribbon. Congrats Chris and Chris. Next year will be more of a challenge as we keep getting more growers.Tomato growing is getting popular here. I am thinking that Qtip is just lucky..if Stillwater was a month later I am sure this little green one would win :) Don't worry indoor growers..this one will not be part of the winter challenge. Tomorrow, I will make the official anouncement for the start of the winter growing season. It will be fun..winter might be my favorite season.
