I wish this pumpkin had a little more depth to it, but it is still a nice looking pumpkin. If you look in the lower right hand corner of the image you will see an ultrasonic generator. This produces very high pitched sound waves that deter mice. I can say that this is the only devise I have tried that has stopped mice from feeding on a pumpkin once they start. However, it is important to realize that sound waves at this frequency behave more like a laser beam of light and not like a traditional speaker. Meaning, the sound must be pointed at the specific area you want to prevent the mice from frequenting. This is why there are actually three speakers pointed at different angles for maximum coverage.
