More culls piling up 1929 Barlow in back, 705 House on the right. 397.5 House mid-left, a Cinderella type. The 1462 Gibson in the middle has unique color (which is why I've used it to make so many crosses with everything else... to the point of being sick of it.) But even though I'm sick of "everything x 1462" can you see why? It's more orange and it turned orange fast only 32 dap when I picked it and this its two weeks later now but it's still looking ok. Anyhow the others here are about the same age but taking their time turning orange mostly all still yellowish.
Out of fifty different pumpkins I grew (and some that are supposed to be very orange or red orange) so far the Gibson is unique. It might get possibly get surpassed eventually by the 774 Minor, but for now 1462 is the King of the Patch and totally unique in how fast it became orange, the evenly shaped fruit, and the great plant it was on is still going strong...
