Worse year ever growing giant pumpkins and squash. We have had record rain here in Oneida County,New York. Rains on average 5-6 days a week. Mostly heavy cloudy days. Plants are was behind. Luck if I get a 1,000 pounder this year. Has tornado type winds Friday around 4:30 with lots of hail and heavy rain. Than late at night we got hit again. Only had to water the plants a couple times. Good possibly when I pull the plants many of the vines might have some rot from all the rain. 57.09 inches of rain for the year is the record here in Oneida County. As of right now we have 54.71 inches. With five months left in the year, It looks like the record will be blown out of the ballpark for sure..
