Things not lookin’ so good. Vines losing vibrancy with browning and yellow leaf stems. Pumpkins slowed down and stopped growing 5 days ago. The 2 cantaloupe size fruits on the 2048 withered and smooshed. Left with 2 on the 2048 at about 250, the orange on the 1495 Snyder stuck at 350, a misshapen cantaloupe size on the 2624 plus a new female flower. The 2624 never produced anything but these doomed elongated pumpkins that withered. Modest damage from the storm earlier in the week. More storms tonight. May be that the season is coming to a close – and it started so good. This sport has more disappointment than golf – if that’s possible. Sending a tissue sample from the 1495 to Western Labs. but i'll be a week to get a report from Idaho.
