This is what I call an exploding vine. Growth is so fast and upright it causes a split in the top of the vine. It is generally thought this is caused by too much nitrogen but this is the only plant in the same patch that this is happening to. This plant way out paced the other 2. I suppose that the aggressive growth could be at least partially genetic.
