Wound Injury Update > here is the 1148 Landry 2010. Itwas a 901 Hunt x 1330 Johnston/Butler.
This was an extremely rare fruit to grow as it was badly injured. The plant rapidly developed into a 4 node ribbon vine. Eventually it set a small fruit. It surpassed all of my expectations. The SAR and healing response was overwhelming. Early on I removed the extra nodes. Shockingly it repaired itself. The peduncle was treated by scraping & scoring dead necrotic tissue to promote a SAR response and growth of healing scabs. I Sprayed it with topical Ca and disinfected regularly and kept a fan blowing on it 24/7 all season long.
You had to see to believe it could survive...
