Well here is a pic of 2 blade bic shaver that I have used on a couple of mater trusses this afternoon. The attempt is to shave off a thin layer of the surface hairs and outer skin to allow the release of ethylene and Jasmonic acid. So plant responses to wounding is well established in that it can promote both defence and healing...The thought is the plant will recognize its under attack and elicited a response by producing more cells in this area...Cold and rainy today as another trailing cold front moves though this afternoon bringing pop up rain cells...
