150 sq ft 1992.5 Vincent is growing now but until last week, and despite my wishes, the cold weather stunted all the plants that went out early. In the last three weeks I've gotten only about one week of actual growth. I should have made better covers for the plants... who knew the winter weather would drag on into mid May with back to back low pressure and now we've switched directly to summer weather. Usually summer waits until mid June but it's here early... Sometimes spring seems short, but we really skipped spring this year.

I'm also dealing with some nutrient issues I think my main issues appear to be overly acidic soil and magnesium deficiency. As would be expected with heavy rain all winter and mulching heavily with hay/straw. Maybe I will get soil tests done this week to see where I'm at exactly. I think I can easily get started a month earlier next year if I make better covers and grow in gallon pots indoors. I would like to try pollinating mid-June but instead it's looking like most of the pollinations will happen around mid-July this year. Last year one pollinated in mid-August got to 263.5. I am (realistically) trying for 400 to mid-800 lbs this year. I believe I am not set up to possibly hit 1,000 I'm gonna stay in T-ball one more year. It's still fun.
