On third base ready to go in: left to right 1162 LaRue, 1774.5 Carter, 774 Minor, and the current star of the show: 1775.5 Brungard. But they are all healthy and look great. These were grown in these pots in garden soil... no potting mix used. Good result, a little magnesium deficiency showing though... so I should have mixed in some dolomite lime. The nice thing about starting seeds in patch soil is it will tell you if you have a problem... it's a free nutrition/pathogen test. But older or damaged seeds should probably be planted with care in a good quality sterile mix.
