Dug 2 holes for pumpkin plants on land owned by Island Arts(a non-profit organization) as Step 1 of growing an AG. Topsoil is only 6 inches thick. Hard pan below topsoil is really HARD. Came back home to find wind had snapped main stem of one of the two plants destined for the Island Arts plot. I have a bad feeling about this.
