150 sq ft planted today. 1992.5 Vincent. Not one of my best plants it's about average. Got rolled by the wind a little so I planted a back up in case it does it was damaged, or it doesn't do well for any other reason. Backup will be 1514 White 2014. Probably planted it a week too early cold tonight and low pressure on the way. I'm ahead of last year by a couple weeks for better or worse. A lot of work... mole repellent, slug killer, temporary wire cage and polycarbonate cover. Nothing fancy all very basic but it took a long time. Half the work was getting the measurements right for the little six sq ft extension. It measures 26" x 3 ft. Subtract the area that overlaps with the 144 sq ft area so in total the added area pictured here comes out to exactly six square feet. A lot of hassle to eke out that last sq ft. But it turned out well. The cedar boards have been easy to work with... it is easy to screw them to stakes in the ground. Now everything is in place and won't move so now for the fun part... to grow a pumpkin.
