Hey qtip...don't want to put any pressure on you but the first of my hydro tomatoes is forming flowers. I think I will have a first truss set before Feb 1. The wixom slammer hydro challenge-first to germinate 4.80 Konieczny, most interesting seedling 4.24 Spaziani (3 cots), first to form a flower 3.77 Borgers. Current leader in root mass 3.77 second 4.80 third 4.24. I am suprised by the 3 cot tomato. I was predicting that extra cot would be an advantage in early growth but that plant is lagging in all respects. The final winner will be the plant that grows the biggest tomato. Since I have never grown anything hydro before there is a good chance none of them will survive.
