Late start to season! Moved and had no patch. Had to till up some grass that's been in place for 10+ yrs. Soil 3 inches below the tilled turf is very thick clay. Worried that this will have have some serious consequences but I'm giving it a shot adding as much organic material that I can and digging out a big hole around planting site and filling with organic material.
