I think qtip and socal are battling for the lead. Have to wonder how the rest of the carrot growers are doing.
I tried to take a picture close up. Hard to do with my iphone. The stem measures about 1.25 inches just above ground and i am starting to see the ground swelling there.
I can relax a little bit, looks like the plant survived the move with no major shock. 5 1/2 more months to find out what it weighs. I am thinking about taking it to Gale Woods Farm...September 24th weigh off. Will there be more than one carrot there?
