The past couple days have been amazing. Just 5 years ago we grew the first 1800# pumpkin and it was an outlier. Now 5 years later with nearly identical growing techniques I see multiple 2000# pumpkins in our state! Amazing. The genetics in these things are unlike anything else.
Special congrats to Glen and Margaret Martin for the first WI soil weighed 2000# pumpkin. These 2 have put in their time and deserve it. Congrats to John Barlow for a new state record as he's been at it even longer.
