When is it very warm (it was 93 here today) you can move the vine a little bit every 2 or 3 hours and get it turned like you want. It may take a couple of days, don't rush it or you will kink/crack it. I have found if you get ahold of the vine 2 or 3 ft from the bend, put a stick at the bend and start turning the vine watching the bend, you can tell wen to stop because the bend starts transferring our toward your hand instead of closer to the stake. That is when the vine is not willing to bend any more where you want it.
