12 feet out.....and of course look where she is....right at the west door threshold! lol......she thinks she's so clever......I "sawzalled" the 2x4 threshold out of the way and loosened the soil in the area. If I need to, I can shift the tunnel end back to the prior pvc rib if I need kin growing room... The bud is currently 5 inches inside of the doorway....I assume it will travel 6-12 inches as the tip continues to grow out. I have a 6x6x2ft high pvc frame covered in shade cloth ready to protect the tip as it leaves the tunnel. I would assume within the month I will be rolling the northside of the tunnel film over to the south side...stopping at 5ft for a wind break, and adding a windbreak to the north side. Still debating whether I will remove the ribs...they are just slid over 24" rebar...might be better to get them out of the way to work.....maybe leave the ends...
