One of the chickens pecked at it, so we thought it would have been disqualified. In hindsight, it would have been okay. I probably missed an opportunity to jump into the hobby 10 years earlier than I did by not taking it to a contest to meet some other growers. This picture is from 1988, and I am guessing the pumpkin was in the 2-300 pound range.
