I used a pool noodle to protect the bottom loop, and moving straps made a X up and over to support the weight as it was hoisted. You can see the non existant stem covered in Daconil. Pumpkin integrety was great during lifting and transport (with the exception of the stem). It has held its shape and firmness well.
