Today I cut ties with the early pollination on the 1985 Miller. It was far enough out at 13 feet, but I liked the extra secondaries feeding the smaller, later pollination at 16 feet. I have a good vine pattern with the later pollination as well. The smaller fruit was built more like a football as well.
I'm all in now. I was going to wait a few days until the later pollination was larger, but I don't want to give up those days of the first fruit taking more energy. All in.
