Trying something different with the giant tomatoes this year. I'm using biodegradable paper mulch impregnated with fertilizer. Hopefully this will cut down on disease from soil splashing up and provide a steady feed as it degrades. I have 16 plants in cages and 10 on the other side of the garden growing on the ground on the paper mulch. Not sure if it's the weather or just really good seed lines I'm using this year but almost every plant has a mega-mega bloom showing.
