I forgot to post in my last message that I took some soil temps yesterday. I just used my old meat thermometer. At 4 inches 64 degrees and at aprox 8 inches it was 57. This is another reason why I'm waiting to plant and not just fill the patch up with plants. Been there and done that with stunted plants on cold ground.
I took my spring soil sample today. It will need to be dried out some before mailing because it is raining yet again. I am curious what the results are compared to my Jan 2nd sample.
