This was when it "snowed" at my house in North Hollywood, Ca. February 26th 2011. It was actually a wintery mix of graupel, snow, ice, sleet and rain I think. It was 37 degrees and an unusually cold cloud came over us and it was an basically an isolated snow shower. The sun was shining through as it came down. They were little pellets of snow but when you squeezed them they fell apart and were still soft and had a similar consistency of snow. The wintry mix accumulated on what is now my patch. I took out that poor little tree that I planted when I was 10. I moved it to the side of the yard but never put it back in the ground and it dried up.
