Plant is totally pulled out! Just some more weeds to pull, well, a lot more weeds. Pumpkin is a lonely giant sitting on her red carpet. She is what she is! I am very blessed to have grown this year with my son. His favorite part was pulling weeds and trash cans. We wish she would have gotten larger than last year, but this year it's all about being thankful for what we have. Heck, she could weigh 700 lbs tomorrow and it's ok. I always say this every year, "It's just a pumpkin!" There are sooo many more important things in life that God wants us to enjoy! And the most important gift of all, serving others through love. My competitive nature is my strenght and weakness becuase I love to do better every year. I always must remember that we are foreigners on this earth longing for our eternal home and not to put too much importance on such small things.
That being said, may everyone coming to the southern california weigh off safely and may everyone have a heavy personal best. But most importantly, may we enjoy the day and who we are with. See ya on Sunday Chris!
