155.5 Niewenhoff Giant Bushel gourd plant is a beast. This plant has a stump roots only. grown on a 6 foot concrete anchored chain link fence. got this one still growing supported so no stress ever on stem or vines since very early set. got one 55" circ and done maxed out and will mature on vine until first freeze. same as this big girl pictured and 2 more soccer ball sized one in hammocks very curious the weight ..but i know with my other gourds for crafting do best when drying on vine as long as possible before deep hard freeze.
