I dug out all of the existing soil down to hard pan. I Tilled the Hard pan with my new tiller, then I added the dirt back in with alternating layers of sandy Loam Compost and Manure. The Patch soil is a good 7" higher than it was and the total depth of good dirt is probably more than doubled.
