Ah, the temperate rainforest of the Pacific Northwest!! 60mm or 2.5 inches of rain in 48 hours. 40mm or 2" of that just from last night!!
We got up last night to watch, listen and marvel as mother nature unleashed about a 2 hour thunder storm on us. Almost everything survived the torrential rain, some sunflowers will need re-positioning and the bean trellis was blown over and a bunch of soil has washed off some of the covered vines...but everything else is OK.
Blankets will get taken off today and dried out, my shelters are not 100% wind and water proof so might need some tightening up there too.
I see Richmond Dave updated his diary...I like how he just rounds out his numbers...don't forget Dave, I was the one helping you with the taping and numbers yesterday. Better really hope my Delaney pumpkin is prettier than Chad's 1495 Stelts pumpkin cause looks like Howard Dill Award is about all Chad and I will be competing for this year.
