This was the larger of the 2. It weighed in at a whopping 138. Grown on a 326 Bartoli and crossed to the 144 in the previous post. I wasn't too excited about this seed but even though it has been abused in my patch, this plant had some qualities that I liked. It's possible I could put another in the patch next year or even a seed from this one. This is the only melon that I'll save a few seeds from out of this patch. The rest will hit the dumpster today and patch renovation begins. No pic but I entered my first long gourd ever. I managed to find one growing on the outside of my collapsed trellis that measured 72.63 in. LG's have found a spot in my patch for next year. Very enjoyable to grow!
