OK , My experiment from this past winter has taken off, lol. Over this last winter one of the things I wanted to do growing in my basement under lights was to graft a field kin to an AG rootstock and bring a kin to term for the seeds crossed with something unique and heavy hopefully, well I was told after posting a question about a yellow kin on a field kin grafted to an AG, I was told that most likely I had made a mistake and grafted an AG to an AG because the kin started out yellow. I think Linus mentioned a FP that started out yellow. Well trying to make this short I had a second and third plant going, second being another Fat Boy FP scion/AG graft and the third plant was a type of heavy gourd that is of course a "Pepo" white in color. As you can see in the pics this field kin started out brilliant white and at 3 dap has begun to turn green and has a.....you guessed it, a Pepo Squared stem. At 3 dap it is growing very nicely..I have two other plants of this seed going...Will be interesting to watch it grow and mostly the color it ends up with.
