Well I'm going to have a learning experience. After pollinating yesterday with the bee I tied the flower shut, covered with mesh and covered with a chair due to incoming rain.
I removed the flower pedals last night and all 5 lobes were completely submerged in water....not good. So that female had about 1 hour between pollination and being submerged in water. We will see if it takes.
Otherwise I'm not in good shape with this plant. I do see some tiny peas in the secondary tips. So I may have options, but they are not good options this late in the game.
It's tough to give up on a plant this late in the game with many many hours invested.
