this is the 1135 keeper at 12' on day 12. doing 4" circ per day the past 2. self pollinated a beautiful 5 lober at 20' this morning in cool temps as insurance. this one should be on its way but ya never know with human error or animals. I won't let the 20 footer grow too large before culling it if the 12 footer shows itself to be the one over the next 5 days or so. delicate balancing act of sink/source relationships. tables have been replaced with white t shirts during the cool spell over next 4 days. they will get warmer this way...retain some heat...and then get blanketed at night as temps will be mid 50s or lower the next 4 nights. the cooler temps should slow growth a bit and it will be interesting if a slower start will lead to a longer peak growth or just smaller pumpkins. so often is the case in our high heat my half life growth total weight is day 37 estimate or below. it would nice to keep the larger pound peak growth longer for a change. time will tell. dark green thick main and white color should equal heavy.
