Pollinated a 3rd very nice 5 lober on the 1143 Singelton x 1379.5 Banman via main vine. I've had to train the secondairys to the front like birds wings moving forward on the first 4 sets. The Plant is huge at this point and will start this morning Terminating 1st 2 secondaries at 24 ft per side. 1st Kin was a slow grower but has kicked it in gear, 2nd is very nice but has not laid down in the most desirable position along the main and am slowly coaxing it along. Cucumber beetles have showed up in numbers now. Killed a Squash Bug with a bright floresent orange back....not an SVB but a Squash Bug. Never seen this variety before. Got an Inch of much needed rain yesterday to refill all the Tanks. Culled the only Kin growing on the 1248 Sundstrom due to not growing, will have another female ready this coming week. The daughters 596 Ciesielski has stopped putting out secondaries, will watch for a week to see if it starts to throw any more, will unfortunately have to pull it if it doesn't. I will turn the 1379.5 Banman over to her because she has shown me she really wants to grow a kin all by herself this season and I hate to see her not grow one after all the work she has put into this plant so far.
