Here is a timelaps of this mornings pollination. First I cut off 4 males last night and stored them inside in a cup of water. Then put them in warm water this morning followed by several minutes under a warm blow dryer to encourage them to fluff up the pollen and open a bit. Then I went out to the patch and took off the females overnight protection. The next series of images are of the female opening over about 35-45 minutes. I then pollinated with all 4 males and you can see the amount of pollen deposited in the last picture before the zip tie. Finally I cut openings in an old styrofoam cooler and placed it over the vine, leaf, and female with a few small frozen water bottles in it. High is 85 here today so this should be in good shape. I present the 1775 Starr 1st pollination 0 DAP about 11-12 feet on the main.
