Did final soil amendments and final till in the screen house. The 1248 Sundstrom is at 7 ft and throwing out good secondaries now. I love walking into this thing because of the rich soil smell. There are so many night crawlers under this place from me picking them up after rains and tossing them in you can smell em just walking up to the screen house....should be a good thing. The soil has darkened up a few degrees from them for all the castings they are leaving behind. I also throw out cornmeal for them along with the old bread, egg shells and daily coffee grounds. I'll stop with the coffee grounds here in about a week to keep nitrogen levels at bay for setting. Put down 5 gals mollasses/Kelp/Calcium mix before final till. Before I start to till I run the tiller around and over thee entire the patch with out the tines engaged to drive the worms deeper so I won't just grind them all up, seems the vibration from the running tiller does this fine because I don't see any during tilling but every morning the casting are left by the pounds now. This should make for a perfect growing situation as to not having too much OM in the soil.
