Here is a picture of the patch after a full day of work yesterday. I increased the wind fencing this year and there will be hail protection going up this week. It is the wind and hail that seem to do me in every year. Only the one surving plant 1450 Steil 12 (1303 Sweet x 1647 Wallace) is out of its cold frame now. Most plants are way behind because of cool temps and late planting. After all, I am on the backups to the backups. I could have wrote the year off after losing all my good plants but that wouldn't be any fun. Based on the size of my plants I am going to be pushing it to get pollinations in by July 1.
