Had a couple requests for an update on what is going on with the American Chestnut project. We have planted a second field with the same generation, different genetics, as last year's trees. The other site is being converted to a "seed orchard", the first in Tennessee and the 5th in the country. What that means is after the seedlings that are now being planted in that orchard are screened and culled the 12 remaining trees will be allowed to mature, open pollinate and collect seeds to reforest America.
