We are trying to get the garden in line with Ca, Mn, Mg, B, Zn and N. The garden is tilled and ready except for some needed repairs on the overhead misters. Shade cloth will be added later as the sun climbs higher, I think putting it up too early last year stunted the early growth.
In order to get ahead of our hot July and August we started the seeds on Sunday 3/31. Today, four seedlings were tall enough to move to larger containers. We will only grow two pumpkins in the pumpkin garden this year, our own 640 and our last 1409.5 Miller. We also started one of our 640's and a 562 Renninger for a friend that won our local fair last year. In addition we will start two plants for a new grower and put two watermelon and two of our own seeds in the vegi garden.
The gardens might have a tough summer as our time is going to be spread thin this year.
