soil cables in both greenhouses complete. soil temp this morning at 6" deep without spaceheater running yet was 60 degrees and the rest of patch was frozen with temps last night of 22. long term forecasts in later april are predicted to be colder than normal. for this reason I will weed whack cover crop 7' around greenhouses and remove with rake and toss to the sides. then broadfork a few times this week flipping and drying. then till and ammend this 7' wide area before next weeks rainy pattern. this will ensure that the cover crop within at least 10' from planting spots will be completely broken down. I do not want corn seed maggots in the soil close to greenhouses migrating to the nice warm loose soil in the greenhouses. the rest of patch will leave the cover crop to suppress weeds and then till and ammend when plants start running.
