Did some dome improvements over the winter including a new metal ridge pole for both houses, bolted to the hoops. No more bamboo poles coming loose on windy days and stabbing holes in the row cover! Also removed all the rusty old bolts that were still in the hoops from when these were used in a nursery years ago (they held diagonal braces in place). They used to rub holes in the cover over the course of the summer. I am hoping these changes help keep the cover intact longer than ever this year, maybe even until the end.
