the shazzydome has been laid to rest. it losts its structural integrity and was too risky to use in storms and in the later removal process. it was fun while lasted and the 3 season I used it I grew 1493, 1354, 1209, 1156 and 1097. I say I got my moneys worth in memories alone.

before I went to the bar sunday for st. paddy's I set up my old 8 year greenhouses that are 6 x 10 feet. I took advantage of the 2 inches of frost to set them up with out compacting wet soil covered in rye. then added another layer of visqueen. these old greenhouses have some tears and holes and entrance zippers broke but can be wired closed easily. therefore this second layer will help prevent frost from chasing deep with low of 14 last night and going to 10 degrees tonight. soil cables will be used and only planting area under greenhouses will be ammended early when installing cables 3 weeks. long term temps show winter is here still until april.
