Well, 5 days after planting, the roots of both plants have already reached the outside edges of the 22 quart containers they are planted in. It amazes me how quickly the root systems are growing. I've often heard that you don't want to keep these potted indoors more then a week or so, now I see why. I can only imagine how restricted the roots would be after 7 days of growing in smaller pots. I wonder if that would have any impact on growth momentum of a plant once its in the patch? Perhaps having a micro climate germ chamber right in the patch is the way to go?
