I decided to run a practice germination using some of last year's seed. I have changed a number of things since germinating last year, and I'm sure there are more then a few small details that will be ironed out by going through a practice run. Hopefully this helps minimize risk when I plant my better seeds come April.
Similar to last year, I'm removing the shell, placing the seed in a paper towel soaked with soluble kelp solution, and keeping it on a heat mat for 24 hours.
