Making progress on getting set up for the 2013 growing season. Sent off my first soil sample to Western Labs in ID over the weekend; anxious to see what the results are.
Also ordered a 22% white shade cloth/canopy as last season's hot temps really did stiffle growth. Hoping for a milder summer this year for sure.
50 lb bags of Neptunes Kelp Meal and Crab Shell are sitting at the ready along with a couple gallons of Neptunes Fish and Seeweed Formula. I've been making worm tea for months and have will have a decent quantity of castings waiting to go into the patch.
And the seeds.....snatched up some good ones at the auction, many with 1725 Harp bloodlines. Which one to grow?
Still have LOTS of soil work to do. Expanding my 375 square feet of garden as far as possible but there really isn't much more to grow. Probably can carve out another 30 square feet but that's the end of it. My wife says I can't take out the back patio.
