in the above photo, you can see my new patch cover with the new plant in it. the rest of the patch is all nicely mowed grass.
over the last 6 months, i have been adding 100's of kgs of fert, lime, cal mag, micro nutes and pitchforking.
it doesnt look like a patch on the surface but a spade dig revels soft earth with an abundance of worms.
as the vine grows, i will burn off the grass with a solar cooker.
in front of the casting is a patch of goo which is the insides of the pumpkin and "wild" seedlings growing.
i have transplanted one of these as my main plant.
in the house i have 2 new seeds growing which were for this years grow... but found that the wild seed looks soo much stronger.... so have gone with this.... as this is a selfed seed from the pumpkin i know its genetics... and it is the most robust and strongest looking seedling i have ever seen.
