well, here we go again.
since my last post.... i let the pumpkin do its thing till the vine gave out. i then encased the pumpkin in a very wet and weak concrete casing..... in the hope of making a solid concrete cast pumpkin.
in these photos you can see the cast and it looks good so far.
trouble is, it is very heavy and my f.e.l. cant shift it.
so it is still sitting in my new pumpkin patch.
the plan is now to roll it back, fill it with water and rot out the remainder of the skin. from what i have seen so far the casting is almost perfect. once cast i will chip of the concrete mold..... it is 9 to 1 mix and quite soft.
