A picture of me on the left and then next to me and in the middle the first place pumpkin winner, Jimmy Sowers who had a 579.2 pound pumpkin. And I think Robert Burchette who along with Gail Newsom captured third place with a 579.2 pounds entry, is on the left. I felt honored and realize this was not a good year for many growers in this part of the country. I believe it will take a lot of hard work and good luck to ever get myself back into such a nice place of honor again. It is going to be fun trying to get there though.
