Second Place Squash at the Puyallup fair. I am so happy that they wanted it for carving!! Good job to all the growers who showed up. People came from as far as Spokane and Oregon! And while I have your ear for a second i would like to tell you that all the pumpkin growers mean a lot to me. Most of us only see each other a few times a year or less, and when we get together it feels like we are best friends that hang out everday. That kind of comradery is rare in life, and you can be assured that even though all my pumpkins blew up and cracked this year and I had a route of bad luck, I understand that at the end of the day its about the people. The friendships you make in life mean everything. And i can firmly say that I feel that the Growers who are in our clubs, the PGVG and the PNWGPG, are some of the finest people whom i have ever met. And you can put that on your scale and weigh it!
